What is Obsessive Compulsive Disorder?
                    OCD is a neuro-biological disorder that is characterized by recurrent unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and/or repetitive behaviors that a person feels driven to perform (compulsions).  Some of the more common symptoms are listed below.  However this is by no means an all-inclusive list.  A person may have a few or any combination of the following traits:

Obsessions:
     * Contamination fears; fear of germs or dirt
     * Persistent sexual thoughts
     * Images of hurting someone
     * Perfectionism
     * Need for items to be in order or symmetrical
     * Doubts of locking doors or turning things off
     * Horrific religious thoughts
     * Fear of violence
     * Fear of throwing something useful out

Compulsions:
     * Checking
     * Repetitive Actions:  Hair pulling, counting, or touching objects
     * Thinking good thoughts to counteract the bad ones
     * Hand washing
     * Meticulous organization
     * Seeking reassurance
     * Over zealous cleaning
     * Analyzing and overthinking
     * Pathological slowness
